Kony 2012 Viral Video
If you're on Facebook or Twitter, listen to the news or the radio, you should know about KONY 2012.
The 30-minute video that exhibits the suffering of children in Uganda thanks to Rebels leader Joseph Kony, has gone viral, receiving over 10 million views in just two days!
It has spread like wildfire! Why? Because Jason Russell, the founder of the charity behind the video - Invisible Children - wants to make Joseph Kony famous, not to celebrate him, but to raise support for his arrest and set a precedent for international justice. And he is using celebrities to help him.
Even Kyle and Jackie O are on board, speaking to Russell about how Australia can help bring Kony down!
"Joseph Kony {has been] a warlord for 26 years. He has been abducting children from their homes and making them kill people; cut people faces off; abduct other people; the most horrific crimes you've ever heard of.
"We need to realise that we're humans first. Our humanity trumps politics, our humanity trumps the economy [and] technology.
"Our humanity is bound up in the fact that we can watch something and be moved and get all the people in the world, the most powerful and the kindergarteners, that this man has got to stop!"
